poems

the la la's and oooohs in my mind and spirit.

body builder

He gave me his number as I paid my T Mobile bill. 5 pounds. He whistled as I got out of my car. 3 pounds. He pressured me into going down on him. 50 pounds. He second guessed my response. 10 pounds. He held on to tight at work. 20 pounds. He wanted to make sure I kept off the weight. 50 pounds. He wants me to use my "womanly touch" on our new partner. 30 pounds. He wants to pay me less. 100 pounds. He said its because of your period. 10 pounds. He kept going when I said stop. 1000 pounds.
And they say women don't lift. Funny.

my thighs rub

The prince took one look at my thighs and walked away. His kiss a reminder of his one dimensional perception and my inability to fit in a box. I had eaten the cookies, I had napped by the ocean, I had lounged with my feet up to the atmosphere. I walk with tiara sparkling, music blazing, and thighs touching. Each stroke reminding me that I am everything.

hungry

I wanted to eat your bones
I realized it was you
352 times you made me cry
Only once you made me pancakes
You poured blood on my swollen torso
Lost control of the van you drove
I felt inferior in your presence
You lifted me by my side and tore
Never have I wanted equality so bad
You spoke Spanish with no accent
Every time you fried fish you sang
Of all the women you weeped for
You were my sock monster
You were my jester
Karate Kid
Nerd
Romeo
I wanted to eat your bones

post-it slut

Perishable does not lie between my legs.
My ass is not disposable.
You can't release rumors of my single use.
The trash can is already full, I am already fearful.
Moving on to the next climax, knowing what the post it reads.

washing feet

Don’t ever fear what I can do
The cornered windows of the apartment never closed
If you walked with me, I would fail you
Like the credits that never end, I would jeer you
In the morning I would cleanse your words
When sunset comes, I would tear into you
I would fear your love, and attack
Grabbing the broken china
Yelling Mumford’s lyrics
Pushing you further into the blending darkness
I would fall asleep in my own saliva and blood
Hair clambered, nails warn
Eyes closed, finally stop
Instead of running from the creature
You stay
You sing over me
You pray
You pull back my hair
Washing my feet in your tears
I awake in Your arms
I awake with You
